comment Disable window snapping to top on move to second monitor/display
No 3rd party window management. Can't switch to Yosemite and IMO, it's really really ugly and would prefer not to. My windows that are being moved are being moved to/from a Thunderbolt display onto or off of a 15" retina display. It may only happen with windows that are larger than the display they are being moved on to. Just tested in Safari and it sucks.

comment How to disable the rubber banding/elastic scroll effect in OS X Mavericks?
Alexy, I think you have summed it up. I also find "inertia" very helpful and pleasing and rubber banding infuriating, useless and a terrible distraction that you can not disable. The UI team needs to be beaten for forcing this on us.

Cocktail won't fix it as it uses the published and deprecated NSScrollViewRubberBanding.

I find rubber banding to be terribly annoying and distracting. I'd pay good money if we could turn this annoyance and other animations off. Simply hate that useless behavior.

comment How to disable Finder triangle reveal animation in 10.7 Lion
When Apple's bug reporting site comes back up, report the bug again. bugreport.apple.com Apple declares this as a standard. I call this a bad idea forced upon the users. The user is now forced to wait for the UI. This means the UI is getting in the way of the user's productivity. This is not what a good UI does. If a feature might do this, the user MUST be allowed to disable this behaviour.

It's not a sheet, it's an NSOutlineView. At the time of my writing this, there is no method at all exposed to us (or at all) for us to turn this irritation off.

comment How to disable the animation for rollout of content when clicking disclosure triangles
Thanks Lauri. I looked through the header for NSOutlineView and within it is a struct with these two ints, animateExpandAndCollapse and allowAutomaticAnimations, but I can't see any more info on how to turn these off. I've filed a radar at bugs.apple.com stating they need to declare a public NSUserDefault so that we can disable these "enhancements". It's really, really hard to find any information on this issue, or how to disable it. I'd appreciate keeping it open so that it can get indexed. Thanks for turning me on to strings and gdb.
