Why don't older Macbooks support multi-touch? Not on an older MacBook I haven't, but it is a great bit of software! |

App store debit card purchasing It usually takes a couple of days for money to move: your 'available balance' should say something different to your 'account balance.' Apple tend to be VERY slow in moving money around (well I have found). I bought an app, then two weeks later the money was moved and my receipt arrived. |

Why is Time Machine over-stating the amount of data that needs to be backed up? Hmm, seems TimeTracker is broken on Lion as it is, no updates been issued. Anyway, Identities folder is User Home > Documents > Microsoft User Data > Office 2008/2011 Identities. |

Why might one USB port be problematic on a MacBook Pro? Hi Graham. It's the 15" 6,2 model, 2.4GHz. Cheers |

MacBook Pro: water damage improved screen's brightness! As Matt says, optics and refraction is the probable explanation. In regards to dimming over time, older LCD's, such as the ones in older gen MBP's do generally lose their brilliance over time, particularly if used a lot. |

Do 2.5" SATA HDDs in an external enclosure need extra power over USB with Windows? @GrahamPerrin I believe I read it in a review, I'm going to have a look for it now. Kezzer the enclosure I mentioned utilises a dual port USB cable. Using both usually works, provided I put the data port in the frontmost port and the power port in the further one. I'm afraid I can't help you with the rMBP however, not sure of their USB's power configurations. Good luck! |

How to make terminals open side-by-side? Fair enough :) take a look at my answer, hopefully that will solve your problem slightly. |

How to make terminals open side-by-side? Don't mean to be rude, but what's wrong with moving them? And I really doubt there is something you can do about it, it's just a wee bit too trivial. |

How can I cancel an app installation on the iPhone? Yup, that's what I would have suggested. Blimey, 600MB? What app was that? |

What's the best way to import DVD into iMovie 11? I'm afraid not. Converting and encoding is a massive process for a CPU to undertake, and requires a lot of processing power. You can change the level of the conversion for a quicker and less CPU intensive encode period, but you sacrifice quality. Cheers. |

What's a good iOS app for quickly posting screenshots on the web? Sorry, I didn't see the last part of the question (I'm posting from an iPhone). Can I suggest imageshack? If you already have that and want to keep it clean, then sorry again, but if not, They do a free app from which you can upload from camera roll. |

Tidy up iTunes library? Sadly yes, that would make sense, but give it a go anyway. Otherwise have a look at some of those 'library cleaner' apps you see advertised. Some may be free, others not. I'll have a look around and see if any are any good. Cheers. |

Tidy up iTunes library? You will need an internet connection to access the Gracenote service, the database where iTunes gets track and album info. |

Is it possible to crossfade songs on an iPhone? The iPod Classic (and the former Nano's) run a smaller iPod OS that is very closed and will not allow apps etc, and it is unlikely they ever will with the way iOS is developing and branching. However 'RockBox' (rockbox.org) is an open source installer that replaces the base of the iPod's audio playing ability - the firmware. Replacing firmware is different to installing apps, its fiddling with something deeper than the final UI, installing something to the core. Sadly this will not work on iOS devices. Cheers, hope this helps. |
