comment Run sudo From Non-Admin Account
I think it's worth mentioning that on UNIX like systems, if you are the administrator, it's perfectly fine to be running in a sudoer account. The equivalent of Windows-Xp-esque admin all the time would be being logged into root.

comment Does letting services like PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB and Mysql run all the time eat up battery life and system resources?
Paging should take care of most of the memory, and OSX is kind of obsessive about putting processes to sleep when they aren't needed to save battery.

comment How Jaicolder works?
Basically, Apple uses RSA keys, and non jailbroken iOS devices spend a lot of time contacting Apple's servers and verifying that things are signed with a valid, purchased key.

SU is for anything more power user than end user. Ask Different hovers between consumer and power user.

Sure. SU usually has better answers for these power user questions than the "consumer" oriented sites (Ask Different, Ask Ubuntu, etc.).

@user2297366: Not a chance. Why? There are better ways to do what I think you're trying to do.

@user2297366: Why can't you go App Store than? Apple just doesn't want this to happen. Do you use private APIs?

comment computer slow to load web pages after uploading from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion
@MatthieuRiegler: I have a '11 Mini with 8GB, and it idles at 6GB running Lion with just a few tabs open. The Lions are memory hungry.
