Better Skype taskbar icon? No, I hide my dock usually to get more space on the screen (although I don't think it matters) and I would like to just have the icon in the taskbar let me know when there is a new message, for two reasons: 1. The box that comes up in the corner of my screen is annoying. 2. Sometimes I leave my computer and don't like to have to check Skype for new messages each time I come back. |

Writing equations inline in Mac Word No, LaTeX would take even longer, unfortunately. I use the equation editor to do quick inline things like putting in a bunch of integrals or adding functions. |

What is the Elo of the Mac Book chess engine at top strength? You have to do a large number of those to get an accurate comparison, which would take forever since at the top level it takes a very long time to move. Such things are usually done automatically, but without access to the actual code for the engine, I can't put it into a program that would do that. |

Skype way too quiet. How to get louder Skype audio output on my MacBook Pro? Her microphone is turned up really loud, and like I said iTunes is nice and loud. It's not, like inaudible when the equalizer isn't used, in fact I can hear it pretty well then too. Whatever it is, there must be some way I can give Skype and Chrome more volume. I don't think it's a problem with the MacBook because I've seen a lot of similar issues on Google. |

Word for Mac - Equations I downloaded the trial version, all good! I can use it for a whole month, and in that time I'm sure I can get my school to give me a free copy. Do you know if there's a drop-down symbol selection menu? That's one thing I really miss, cause now I have to click on a button and a window comes up. |
