comment Is there a free temperature monitor program that works on a 2014 Retina MBP?
For me it was the speculation involving conspiracies involving App Store policies or some limitation imposed on developers, pontification about laptops catching fire and the whining about how plentiful unrelated software for guitar tuning is on other platforms.

comment Are there any AirPrint compatible print servers?
Because nobody wants to spend time tapping away in a window to configure lpd on a goddamned iPad?

I have a couple of free temperature monitoring utilities on my MacBook Pro Retina that I use. One of which also cycles fans up/down for me based on my own criteria. I don't understand the question I guess?

If you are certain that you were using iCloud for Notes, are they visible in the iCloud.com website?

comment How can I make in-app purchases with a different Apple ID than the app was purchased with?
Point of order: IAP with games often link to the GameCenter ID in addition to the Apple ID used for the purchase. I did an IAP for Magic 2013 (don't judge me) but was signed in to GameCenter with an ID I didn't intend to use while playing the game. When I was signed in to my GameCenter account that I did want to use, the game content didn't persist and would remove itself. Apple said this was too bad, developer/publisher said "what's a GameCenter??"

comment Sync mail account settings in Mavericks
Neither, I would have added them in the Internet Accounts pane so that I wouldn't have to do it multiple times in other apps (i.e. if I tell Internet Accounts that I have a Google Account it will add the calendar to Calendar, the mail to Mail, etc.)

No instructions I'm afraid, I did have everything setup on my workstation before I enabled iCloud Keychain Sync but that's the best I've got in terms of what I did.

Sure it does — if the account password is in the iCloud keychain. See this discussion (among others) for how frustrating it can be for some users that the Internet Accounts themselves are also included in the keychain sync process: discussions.apple.com/message/24571359#24571359
