I am a self taught programming hobbyist / enthusiast, I started learning toward the end of 2010 and have concentrated on the more language agnostic concepts. I have dabbled and continue to play around with PHP, Python, Javascript(inc. CSS and HTML), Objective-C/C and Java of which I probably most enjoy Java (though change is nice every now and then). Recently I have begun looking into functional programming with Haskell though still find the paradigm conceptually difficult, particularly when trying to expand on what I am learning in a useful and productive way.

I have just started a computer science degree so hope to learn lots more in the coming years. Unfortunately I rarely get to do much programming at work bar a small amount of VBA in Excel and Access.

I have also spent time getting to grips with SQL, Unix(osx) & Linux, various servers and related technologies but this is much less then my time spent coding.
