I'm an up-and-coming developer with experience in Flash, ActionScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C++, Perl, PHP, and Ruby on Rails. I'm a computer enthusiast that loves to learn new things about everything electronic. I tend to get as involved as possible with my computers, thus I enjoy Linux and my new favorite language, C++, because of their low-level and robust attitude. I love tinkering with iOS, and I adore jailbreaking. My hobbies include Rubik's Cubes, robotics, and high-powered lasers. Technology is my passion.

comment How do I truly flush Safari's Cache?
This is a good point, and I'll try it next time. However, I'm not sure how well it would apply to the situation I described in the question, because the Macs I used were both on the same network and had the same global IP (so the ISP wouldn't be able to determine the difference between the them).

comment Can we partially jaibreak our iOS devices for enterprise management?
There is a person that spoke at JailbreakCon 2012 that is working on just the type of thing you're looking for. You can find him on Twitter @Jaywalker.

It's a low-level process, so you're probably going to need to change your perspective on what you need for your project (this also falls out of scope for AskDifferent, so you'd have to take any additional questions over to StackOverflow).

Apple doesn't provide any documentation on this daemon, sorry.

revised Where is the dividing line (mount point) of the two iOS partitions?
Added an important keyword to the title, so that people of the future can find this question more easily.

comment How can you send the same text to multiple people without it being a group message?
I just checked in iOS 5.1.1 and iOS 6.1.2 on an iPhone 4S and an iPhone 3GS, and that toggle is there. As Rafiki would say, "Look harder."

comment Is it possible that iPhone 4S connects to ad hoc with 802.11n?
The iPhone is region locked and will not let you connect to channels above 11 unless you're in the UK. Even then, only channels up to 14 exist in 802.11. Your 54Mpbs is the maximum link speed. Interference from other wireless equipment running in the same spectrum will degrade your link. If you're out in a flat desert with nobody around, you'll get the full link speed, but if you're in a suburban area, you're going to see it degraded - just quick lesson from wireless networking 101.

comment System Apps Not Appearing
Not to be rude or anything, but I think this is hilarious. I've done plenty of things like this, though, so I feel your pain, and I'm not laughing at you; I'm laughing at what happened. You should try using a desktop iPhone file browser to fix the problem. I use iFunbox myself, but any of them will do. I'm trying to think what would cause this, and I'm thinking the fact that mobile is accessing files on the /System partition is making iOS freak out. As to why it would freak out is a different issue all together.

comment Which iOS jailbreak apps most closely implement an Android style notification system?
I don't know of any, and if I don't know of any, then I'm sure it doesn't exist. I've read through the descriptions of almost every tweak in the default Cydia repositories and a plethora of others, too. I think it's because there's not enough people using iOS that want such a tweak. Most people are happy with the Apple's notification system.

comment Jailbreaking a locked iPhone 4s with iOS 6
+1 for some good information and links, but you're missing a bit so long as you don't restrict your answer to 4S-only. There are no public untethered jailbreaks for any devices on iOS 6 for now. However, the A4 devices are tethered (have to jailbreak again on each boot) for life, and the iPhone 3GS old bootrom is untethered (a "normal" jailbreak) for life.

comment Does redsn0w_win_0.9.14b2 work on an iPhone 3G?
Yes, it'll work, but you'll have to go up to 4.2.1, not just 4.2, and you should use the latest redsn0w, 0.9.15b1.

comment How to get jailbroken iPhone working after updating to iOS 6.0 from iTunes
Backups mean nothing. You need SHSH blobs in order to downgrade. Backups contain no part of the actual iOS firmware.

comment How to restore iPhone from Jailbroken 5.1.1 to unjailbroken 5.1.1?
You'd only be able to restore to iOS 6.0.1 anyways, unless you somehow have SHSH blobs, which is possible.

If you're not Jailbroken, you won't find a solution.

comment What can we do now that Facebook iPad app crashes on launch after update?
The old versions of the apps are kept in your Trash if you've been syncing it with a computer.
