Budding iOS/Mac developer, trying to learn as much as I can from wherever I can, and develop some best practices along the way.

comment New iPhone 4S using 10 times faster battery than old 4, why?
Adding to this, Passbook is another big offender here, utilizing geo fencing far more than any other app I've used.

comment Is it possible to disable the game center completely and permanently in iOS 6?
Weird, I thought I remembered seeing it as one of the possible things you could disable via the Restrictions screen. Seems that I was mistaken...

You're very welcome. I hope that everything works out; and nothing like a new device to bring a smile to a techie's face. Hope everything works out!

comment How to determine iOS app usage frequency for iPhone or iPad
No, nobody needs that many apps, but really, nobody actually needs more than a handful of apps to get the job done. I'm a bit of a packrat myself when it comes to apps, and I've got an entire page full of folders that are chock full of apps that I never really touch. That being said, if you're not at a memory shortage because of your apps, is it really important to get rid of them? In most cases, it's a lot easier to have them and not need them, than to need them and not have them—especially if they're more than can download over a cellular connection!

comment Reminders going off at the wrong time
I've actually been having several problems resembling this, but much worse: They've gone off days in advance. Reminders set to go off on Sunday are going off on Wednesday... It's a rare occurrence, but wow, just odd.
