Convenient way to store sensitive information on Mac/iPad? +1. 1P is an essential for me. The syncing works well between devices. You can also use web access if you do not have one of your devices to hand. I use that with Dropbox. It is worth the money. You can try the Mac version free for 30 days. |

How created watched folder with Automator to auto import new files into itunes? This is nice. Never knew this folder existed. Just a note if you have moved your music library from the default location. The Automatically Add to iTunes needs to be the one inside the relocated Music folder. And not the default. |

How to keep window from moving? Thanks much clearer.I do not think you can "Lock" windows in place.Running an app or script that constantly monitors every app and ever window and jiggles the windows back to where you want them may be close. But writing a script or program to do all that would be immense. Doing it for one or two apps maybe not so much but still most likely a lot of coding. I have written an app that maps and resets an apps windows but does not monitor. Unfortunately it is not for public release. You may find some existing Applescript by searching on google, on this site or at macscripter.net |

Creating preview and icon for screenshots Hi, there most probably is. The only other way maybe using third party CLI like imagmagik imagemagick.org/script/index.php or exiftool sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool if I had sometime I probably could look at writing something native but I think it would not be soon |

Can I create a shortcut to open a specific application on OS X? Be nice to know why there is a down vote on this. Not commenting on down votes is not helpful to anyone |

Unusual Shortcut, Menu Override in Evernote There is an article ( reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-57337941-263/… ) that hints at deleting the com.apple.symbolichotkeys.plist. My suggestion is to back the file up. And the delete the original and logout and back in. by Deleting it you may lose other shortcuts and keyboard settings. |
