Can I make a symlink (to a .app folder) in Applications directory show up in spotlight? I had this issue too. The MacVim formula prescribes a symlink after installing in the Cellar, and I didn't realize that was different from an alias. With the alias, now Spotlight and Alfred both work. |

What is the button in the upper right of windows? Or in some cases, such as for MacVim, a shortcut isn't provided. Knowing what this button does and what it is called helped me to find a programmatic way to access MacVim's lozenge. |
