I'm a software developer / computer science researcher who just loves everything related to the software engineering.

Although I'm continuously learning something new and different, my main field of interest is software evolution.

I know key concepts of oop, tdd, bdd, java, eclipse, c, ruby… But my main question remains the same: „How do you create a living system that is going to evolve and not begin dying slowly after the release (or even before)?“

@Buscar웃, yes, but this is part of smbutil, right? That's what I was using and it says that the command is unknown

@Mark thank you for reply. I need to print to smb share, and I don't know what is the "promter". I set up the printer in CUPS, and now there it says: pending since <date> "Unable to connect to server". And I have no idea if the problem is in reaching server or authenticating or whatever else. That's why I wanted to try to use command line which usually in verbose mode can give you a log of 2 A4 pages, where you can find something useful. (I was just printing from Preview with standard OS X stuff)

@Lasse No, there is no plist. But they use some special data files, and there is one for bookmarks (because I've created it) but History and other directories are empty. It's a strange situation. Doesn't look like Application Support was wiped.

@Lasse wow, you were partially right. Address Book was the only one thing unchecked in iClouds preferences. And I have iCloud backup. The problem is that I don't know how should I restore bookmarks of Cyber Duck and what's worse, I don't know what else can be missing. Is there one place where could all the stuff be?

comment Using 2 themes in Keynote'13
Yes, you are right. Sorry if I was to harsh. The thing is that I thought that changing of theme won't change anything anyway, so I didn't include that in question. Thank you for your effort

Yes, and this changes all the slides I already have to black. Won't do. The solution is how @unior117 wrote: new presentation and copy slides

@jaume I think it should be possible to create a routing server. The question is can you setup the iCloud account that uses 80 and 443 ports.

in my particular situation access to mail via 3g is as expensive as the whole other internet. So I was looking for some http solution :). I have to check the VPN option

On iPhone Mercury browser can be used. But I had a bad outcome as icloud.com is not serving a standard html pages but a js magic which is not scalable in the mobile browser

I thought that thunderbolt supports only data chains, not display ones...

comment Turn off blurring on Mac Book Pro with Retina display
@ThorbjørnRavnAndersen maybe I have not described my idea correctly or I do not understand something. There are application that support retina resolutions and they are looking awesome. But for old applications (or images on web) instead just using every 4 pixels to show the color of an original pixel they are smoothed or blurred. On retina iPhone you don't have blurry graphics for old applications, right? Each pixel of an old app is represented by four pixels of a display.

@Ermiar the question is not about the exception but about how Jar Launcher app works. Are you sure that I should post it on stack overflow?

comment How to launch jar the same way Jar Launcher does
@ThorbjørnRavnAndersen the thing is that when it's being run by double clicking everything works ok. And that's what I want to find out: how the jar is being run by double clicking and how it differs from the way I've launched it from terminal

comment Java3d applet won't render on Lion
@Thilo applet can see it. Because I had exceptions first and then when I moved the j3d files into the correct locations app started to launch. But I can't see the 3D content.
