What un(der)-documented features have you stumbled upon in Mountain Lion? This is useless for everyone (like me) who has their dock on the side of their screen. That dock's appearance has not changed. |

What un(der)-documented features have you stumbled upon in Mountain Lion? This alone may convince me to upgrade. I have avoided lion solely because of the removal of all-window expose. |

will jailbreak cause any damage to the device @AndrewLarsson - Yeah. Basically, the firmware that handles DFU mode is separate from the firmware you are tweaking by jailbreaking. Even if you completely erase iOS, the DFU firmware is stored separately, so it's still there. |

What to use on OS X Lion: OpenOffice.org, LibreOffice or NeoOffice? How can they charge for NeoOffice? The OOo suite it is based on is GPL. |

Can Xcode compile C programs? MacPorts requires XCode be installed first, as it actually builds itself using the compiler from XCode. (You have to install the command line tools in XCode too.) |

will jailbreak cause any damage to the device It's really, really hard to brick your device, unless you are specifically trying to. I wouldn't say it's much more risky then a normal firmware update. |

Is there a Mac utility to create an executable Zip/archive? And yes, it has all the security issues of running any executable file. The fact that it chain-uncompress-and-loads another executable is irrelevant. |

Is there a Mac utility to create an executable Zip/archive? The exe-zip files created by 7-zip do indeed just unpack the files in the compressed archive. However, they also have the opton to automatically run one of the files that were just unpacked. So while you are kind of correct, there is more functionality there then you allude to. |

The iPhone is over 3 times more expensive than the iPod touch, how much more margin is Apple doing on the iPhone? I would argue that showing the subsidized cost at all is useless. I would bet the phone companies would be completely happy to subsidize people buying a iPod touch, if they thought they could get away with it. |

The iPhone is over 3 times more expensive than the iPod touch, how much more margin is Apple doing on the iPhone? Basically ~$100 in components, and the rest went into marketing. |

The iPhone is over 3 times more expensive than the iPod touch, how much more margin is Apple doing on the iPhone? You seem to be confusing the subsidized price with the actual price of the phone. |

The iPhone is over 3 times more expensive than the iPod touch, how much more margin is Apple doing on the iPhone? Your numbers are really, REALLY wrong. The iPhone 4S 16GB is $649 in the US. The margin is therefore $461! You have it noted as $11... |

Circuit Simulator for iPad If you want to get an idea of what it can (and cannot) do, it's based/inspired heavily on the Falstac Circuit Simulator Java Applet, which is free online here: falstad.com/circuit The two pieces of software are very similar in look and in the simulated devices (iCircuit has a slightly better schematic editor, though, ans it had to be refined to make it work with the touch controls). |

Circuit Simulator for iPad I have iCircuit, and for what it is, it's excellent. I's certainly not a full-blown SPICE replacement, but for sketching out simple ideas, it works very well. |

Are there any free alternatives to finder? It's also java based, so performance is.... mediocre. |
