Show When Applications Were Opened and Closed Yes, it's not really straightforward, pls follow the link in my answer, that provides more context for OpenBSM auditing. |

How to disable Gatekeeper alerts on opening text files synced with Dropbox? You probably don't want to do that. Perhaps add a folder action to Dropbox? Strip off the quarantine attribute on anything going in there, while still requiring strange apps to verify with you that they are going to run. |

Eclipse 4.2 on Mountain Lion: gatekeeper rejects as unidentified developer? There is such a list: /var/db/SystemPolicy. |

Is there a fast way to change proxy setting? This method is really inefficient, btw. You are tunnelling TCP over TCP, and it slows things down a lot. Check SSHuttle for one solution, or use a vpn. |

Documentation for advanced osX server maintenance: How current does it have to be? Yes. Mountain Lion is the platform, that and iOS. User and device management will be big, and I'm trying to become well versed enough to know when I can treat the os like BSD, and when I can't, which seems to be user management and iOS. |

How can I get System Information's “Installations” and such to correctly reflect the software I currently have? Hmm, this actually raises another question. |

How can I leave Gmail for Mail? I can not fault your sentiment at all. Gmail works though. That's the thing, because your data is gonna get sold regardless. Google does not care what you do as long as you look at the ads. Apple wants to control the user experience. Gmail does work well though. |

plutil equivalent or other way to check structure of a user account? I'm unsure myself. I thought that instead of trying to see which problem I might have, I would try to see which ones I don't have. That's the context for this question. |

What does OS X use “associated” Apple IDs for? Plus, this question seeks experience, not just knowledge. How can you be specific when you are dealing with ellipsis? |

What does OS X use “associated” Apple IDs for? I understand where the OP is coming from. Apple user docs are written simply, and without depth, and have no real procedure to solve problems, and they above all, do not tell you anything that would make you less dependent. This is a very astute question, I will use this wording in future. |

How to downgrade from iOS 6 to iOS 5.1.1? You'd want to check this document About the security content of iOS 6 on the Apple site out as well. There are quite a few security issues (I counted over 200 specific CVE's) fixed in iOS6. |

iOS6 has loaded someone totally different's details Too much cloud in these phones. Best of luck, I think that Apple is having problems, or was having them with iCloud last couple of days. I don't know why Apple decided to flakify this service. Ugh. |

What potential dangers arise from a mass iOS UDID leak? Hold on please! More sophistication needed, all we know is somebody got UDID's and said the FBI stole them. Plausible, certainly. So plausible that we would take ANYBODY's word over the FBI's, which perhaps might be why whoever took these threw the FBI under the bus! Let's wait to hear more before engaging in the useless appeal to the elected representatives... |
