comment Encrypting sensitive data on Mac + Windows
The best way to store encrypted files on Mac OS X is inside an encrypted DMG or a sparsebundle... but I am not sure how well those would play with DropBox. Do you have a local Mac file server?

comment How can I disable the Screen Saver on the login window?
The file is a binary plist file (under 10.8 anyway) and to be edited with a text editor must first be converted using plutil -convert xml1 /Library/Preferences/com.apple.screensaver.plist. Then the file can be edited and the screen saver changed.

You could do this via SSH.

comment How I can move the clock to the middle of the menu bar?
There really is no way to position a Menu Extra in the middle of the menu bar. It is possible you might find a third party clock application which you can get to display the time there, but it won't be a Menu Extra. There's no way to position Menu Extras (Like the built in clock which displays in the menu bar) in the middle.

comment Is it possible to enable Legacy FileVault for a network user?
Yeah, I'm looking for a different solution; one that's for network users, not local users. Thanks though!

comment Is it possible to enable Legacy FileVault for a network user?
Are you talking about normal Mac OS X users, or users who have their home directories served over AFP using Mac OS X Server? I know it's still possible to set up FileVault 1 users on Mac OS X 10.8 Client, but I'm wondering if it can be done with Mac OS X Server Directory Utility users. (I.E. users residing in LDAP)
