Changing Graphics Card on a 2006 Mac Pro I have put in a standard graphics card, and it works no problem... I dont get the Grey screen with the apple logo, and the screen is black for about 30-40 seconds when i boot, but then Windows Server kicks in and no problems what so ever. Only problem is now reinstalling Windows... Since i wont see anything with the Alt key down... Back to the existing card till i figure that out, or at least reinstall the machine... |

Changing Graphics Card on a 2006 Mac Pro i dont think drivers will be the problem... Windows should be able to find them, its the firmware for the machine to boot with... but i will try it out and see what happens... |

Changing Graphics Card on a 2006 Mac Pro thanks for the link. i will look into it... thing is, that 120 quid for a nvidia 120 card is second hand! and thats the cheapest card i can find... most of the rest of them are 300+... As for "bricking" the new card... its EUR30 quid... if it dont work, so be it... Also, think i may have a few floating around spare in house... might test on them first... |

Using the extra SATA ports on a 2006 Mac Pro under Bootcamp Cool. sounds like it could be what i need. Now all i need to do is try it. I will be booting off one of the drives in the Sled, so thats not a problem... Where do i get these AHCI drivers though? |

Can Apple update the firmware on a Made for iPod device using the iPhone? thanks. that answers the question... i was just wondering, as i said, that the device "magically" worked after updating to iOS5... |
