What can be done to troubleshoot OS X Wi-Fi self-assigning ip address of 169.xxxxxxxxx when other clients connect? The second one turned out to be the problem. Our number of connections was limited, and talking to our ISP fixed the problem. |

What can be done to troubleshoot OS X Wi-Fi self-assigning ip address of 169.xxxxxxxxx when other clients connect? Wow, you really think that could cause the problem? I known lots of microwaves 'broadcast' on a frequency similar to most wifi, but would a HAM radio cause the router to change its settings? |

What can be done to troubleshoot OS X Wi-Fi self-assigning ip address of 169.xxxxxxxxx when other clients connect? I haven't had the problem since I posted this question, so I'm not sure my current setup would help. |

What can be done to troubleshoot OS X Wi-Fi self-assigning ip address of 169.xxxxxxxxx when other clients connect? Alright. Next time it stops working I'll take some screenshots. It's hit or miss though, because the times when it doesn't work seem to be random. |

What can be done to troubleshoot OS X Wi-Fi self-assigning ip address of 169.xxxxxxxxx when other clients connect? I'm not sure if it is, but I tried using a manually assigned IP but that didn't work- Network Preferences told me that my computer was connected correctly but I couldn't access the internet. |

What can be done to troubleshoot OS X Wi-Fi self-assigning ip address of 169.xxxxxxxxx when other clients connect? Yes, I did the basics, and they didn't help. Now all of a sudden (after waiting about an hour without doing anything) it works again. Though the problem is solved, I would like to know the reason behind it for next time. |

Xcode Quad Core Optimization Sorry to drag this on, but would there be a noticeable different between the 2.2 GHz and 2.4 GHz dual core on the 13"? |

Xcode Quad Core Optimization Wow- that totally changed my perspective on this. Will the upgraded RAM and processor not increase compiling time noticeably? That is the only problem I have with the computer I have right now; it is the reason I am upgrading. |

Xcode Quad Core Optimization Well first off it's going to be a laptop, though I'm not sure that makes much of a difference. And wow- really the SSD is the most important? I had thought that was more of a convenience thing. 8GB of RAM would still take precedence over the SSD though, right? |

Xcode Quad Core Optimization Alright, thanks! As I am not a hardware guy, I am a little in the dark about these things. I understand that GHz is partially a reflection of the speed of the processor- which would be faster for code compiling/simulation/testing- the 2.8GHz dual-core or the 2.2GHz quad-core? Or is there a noticeable difference? |
