Freelance software engineer/developer/programmer in New York City. Focused on native iPhone app development, but I could probably make you a Mac app if you ask real nice.
Among other things, I'm responsible for
- FatWatch, the best Hacker's Diet tool for iPhone,
- MetroCost, a tool to save you money on public transit, and
- Fingerpaintball, a brick breaking game designed for iPad.
My company is Heroic Software. I have a blog, a tumblelog, and I tweet.

How to backup Store Apps? Yes — the *.app is actually a folder, everything the app needs and your receipt from the App Store is in there. Note that it's possible to "break" the app if you copy it to a disk that doesn't support symbolic links; e.g. a FAT-formatted thumb drive. If everything is Mac (HFS+) formatted, you should be fine. |

How to save a .css file from TextEdit or Word? If the file was saved with an RTF extension, it probably contains RTF formatting codes, and therefore wouldn't work properly as a CSS file, even if you rename it. |

Command+right/left stopped working Based on the other answers, it looks like Mission Control is also one of the culprits. |

Command+right/left stopped working Worked for me, also didn't even need to select a full screen app, just switched from Desktop 1 to Desktop 2 and back. |

What tiny thing in iOS 5 makes you smile, or has caught you off guard? @hopeless That happens to me too, but I think it's a bug. Or maybe it depends on whether you have a pass code set. |

How to disable the “Your computer time is almost up.” dialog? I can tell you that the file at that path contains the text of that dialog box, and the command sudo chmod 000 will effectively prohibit any app from reading it. I guess the theory is that will cause the dialog to fail and it simply won't show up, but it's just as likely to show up blank, or crash, or anything at all. |
