How do I copy the name of the song currently playing on an internet radio station in iTunes? Very elegant, thanks! I could even simply log all the song names played for perusing after the fact. |

Can the Finder be tricked into assigning symlinks and aliases different icons? Aliases fail when accessed via ordinary system calls, making them unusable from almost all programming languages, scripting environments, etc., even the command line. Hard links are the only POSIX correct way to provide the functionality you describe. |

How to get a mac to wait longer for external disk to wake up upon resuming from sleep? If you have regular problems a process preventing unmounting then use lsof to identify the process and files, maybe you can correct that application's behavior by moving the files onto the primary drive and/or frequently quitting that application. |

Safari v5.1.2 crashes frequently I'll try out Chrome, thanks. I'd rather learn about debugging Safari's crash to identify the guilty JavaScript or whatever, but alright. |

Lion's Preview regularly hangs when unhiding with open documents I've noticed that Preview often resumes correctly when not trying to open another document. Anyone tried creating a tool to block open document messages to Preview until the activation message has completed? |

How to get a mac to wait longer for external disk to wake up upon resuming from sleep? If you click though to the macosxhints.com, it discusses remounting the drive on wake, which works unless the drive in encrypted. |

How to get a mac to wait longer for external disk to wake up upon resuming from sleep? None afaik, umount itself usually requires root, but maybe hdiutil handles that. |

Any tips for blocking an address range for outgoing packets? +1 anyways, always good when people mention user friendly tools that help expose apps phoning home. |

Any tips for blocking an address range for outgoing packets? I would worry that a closed source tool like Little Snitch already ignores traffic it's authors deemed unimportant. I've used Little Snitch's free version for evaluating non-Apple software before though. |
