comment Compiling (NS/Cocoa) Emacs on OSX with SVG support
installed fine on a couple of machines without any intervention (std. step of brew update of course) - wish I knew why that other machine's config is out of whack.

Tried all those already unfortunately. Only Quartz is out of date, I will update it and try again.

I tried building, however I got ranlib: file: libgnu.a((u64|unistd).o) has no symbols errors.

Good news. Still, now I'm hooked on Emacs Mac Port's pixel scrolling. I'll give it a go anyway. Thank you.

If you're going to do it this way, just create an Automator app to run the script.

@MathiasBynens - see my answer, a little AppleScript will do it.

comment Got any tips or tricks for Terminal in Mac OS X?
@ChrisPage yes that's what I was referring to, I have obviously shamed myself very badly, and misread the initial comment (I hadn't actually read your tip, and just skimmed it) - Assumed the comment was referring to the drag-drop filename/path feature. I'll go back in my box now, offering apologies.

@ChrisPage ... you will need to retract that, it did it in at least 10.5 care for a reference? Here you go reduser.net/forum/archive/index.php/t-17024.html find David Didato's comment dated 08/10/2008 (10.6 was released in '09) - I also personally used it in Tiger (released '05) and it was taught to me by someone who'd used it in previous versions (10.2 IIRC) - Not to mention I did a live test in 10.6 when I posted my previous comment.

@ChrisPage Terminal did this from several versions before 10.7, although I can't currently verify it firsthand before 10.6 (as I don't have a box running older versions) - FYI Cmd-c on a file / folder in Finder and Cmd-v in Terminal will also paste in the full path (same OSX version history.)
