comment Finder Menu Services No Longer Working
I've noticed the ScriptMonitor is hanging when I try to run my Automator based services. If I quit it when its process hangs, the Automator script runs.

comment How to access a clicked URL in a URL handler application created in Automator
It is possible to do this with AppleScript, which would be the "logical" way to extend an Automator workflow, without delving into XCode / ObjC and compiling your own app. (not that it's all that complicated, but it's likely AppleScript would be easier.)

As a side note, services can also be defined in a .app bundle, they will be defined in the Info.plist for the app.

Opening downloaded docs from Vim and Emacs and jumping to the relevant item. Noticed open fails to pass the hash.

Not sure who else down voted you. Please remove the initial answer from your post, that was never the intended question. I will mark as correct when the noise is removed.

To be very clear the question is to open the file url via terminal / scripting. The title is updated.
