comment How can I mount an ext4 file system on OS X?
This answer is about the OS X product, which uses another technology stack than the Windows version (no Dokan library, for one).

comment iTunes keeps opening
I have seen this happen when an application or a plugin gets hold of the iTunes scripting interface and doesn't release it correctly. Check for media player / media control remote / automation apps or plugins that could interface between a website playing audio or video and iTunes.

comment Adding Bounce Message back to Mail in Yosemite
Are you certain your email provider or email setup is not silently rejecting or deleting bounce messages (or maybe filing them away as spam)? Also, have you tried running the workflow directly in Automator and looked for error messages?

comment Adding Bounce Message back to Mail in Yosemite
What do you mean by “do not see bounce message”? That you have tested the workflow as a sender, and have not received such a message (that would indicate the bouncing does not happen)? Or that you are not seeing a message when you bounce as the recipient (that would be expected)?

comment How can I mount an ext4 file system on OS X?
Note this comes with a caveat if you require write support, as the OP did, as the fuse-ext2 README clearly states “altough, write support is available please do not mount your filesystems write support unless you do not have anything to loose.”

comment How to identify file type for a bulk lot of files and attach suitable extension to each
@user3439894 is correct: there is absolutely nothing to do to make this work with file names containing spaces – escaping all uses of $file, as the example scripts do, is enough (see the BashFAQ for details on why this is so). The relevant paragraph and link need to be removed, as they are both irrelevant and detracting form the answer.

comment How do I assign a keyboard shortcut to an AppleScript I wrote?
That won’t work. The document you are linking to describes how to (re-)assign a hotkey to a menu command of an application.

comment Unable to run 'display notification' using osascript in a tmux session
This might be caused by the same issue complicating tmux access to the OS X pasteboard. See here for details, and check if installing reattach-to-user-namespace (brew install reattach-to-user-namespace if you are running Homebrew) helps.

comment Default email signing with OS X Mail
OS X Mail.app default behaviour is to keep the last signature button state for all new mails of an account if an S/MIME certificate for the current account is present. If that doesn’t happen for you, I suspect the GPG plug-in is to blame. What happens when you enable GPG’s hidden Enable/Disable Sign by default preference?
