MacBookPro stopped booting what should I try? Yes it might very well be this (support.apple.com/kb/TS2377?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US). Call Apple, tell them you suspect it is the Nvidia problem, they'll run a test to diagnose the problem. They replaced my main board, out of warranty, for free. |

Hidden Timecapsule Features This is not helpful to you if you run Mountain Lion, but just FYI, I had a separate install of Airport Utility 5.6 before I upgraded to Mountain Lion and it still has the functionality you mentioned (the "Advanced" tab). It can also still be downloaded (support.apple.com/kb/DL1482) but unfortunately refuses to install on Mountain Lion. |

Is there a replacement for Rosetta in Lion? If you're going to petition Apple it might be more successful to ask them to change the Snow Leopard EULA to allow virtualization. It is allowed for the server version, but that is a bit expensive. |

New Mac mini not outputting to Philips LED TV If you have Screen Sharing (System Preferences->Sharing->Screen Sharing) turned on on the mini you could log on to it with your MBP (the mini should show up in the Finder under Shared if its on the same network). What is the best surface to use the Magic Mouse on? I looked into sticking something like GlideTapes or glidePro strips under the mouse, never tried them though because I've switched pretty much exclusively to the Trackpad/Magic Trackpad. |

Why is my Time Machine backup failing to fire at the hourly interval? If you unplug the external drive during the day and plug it back in, does it again work for one cycle, like in the morning? Does it work if a minute before the backup is about to launch you access a file on the drive so it spins up? Does it work if you plug the drive in another USB port (I had Backup.app consistently fail on one port and work fine on the other). |

Two page continuous view in Lion Preview? Unless there is some elaborate hack I'd say it impossible because as you said its mutually exclusive in the interface. Maybe filing a bug with Apple would help. In the mean time Skim still offers this option. |
