Copying files to the clipboard using applescript I really have that feeling, but I hate to say "can't". I think the difficulty is really in creating a general solution since the Pasteboard contains several versions of the clipboard contents, allowing the paste recipient to choose an appropriate representation. |

Copying files to the clipboard using applescript This is SUCH a pain in the tuckus from AppleScript. I would recommend choosing one of the scriptable clipboard managers or using Cocoa NSPasteboard via your favorite scripting language. One other option may be to create a folder action, so you can copy files to the folder, then have Finder select all items in the folder, copy them to the clipboard, and empty the folder. If you just want to email the files as attachments, one alternative is to iterate through your list and create Mail → new outgoing message → content → mail attachments. |

Move Large, Frequent files closer to center of HDD This answer is incorrect. The sector length is the same throughout the disk. Given a constant angular speed (i.e., 7200 RPM, etc.) the data density (sectors) will be higher toward the outer edge of the platter. I'm not sure if there are any tools on the mac to do what you seek (hah) but you could partition your drive so that the outermost area is reserved for your large files. |

Can the iPad 2 be used for everyday telephony? Skype works very well with the iPad over WiFi. I was on a very long call and ran down the batteries on my iPhone and Blackberry (+backup battery) before giving my iPad a sideways glance and thinking,"I wonder..." With an iPhone headset (QC15 in my case) it works wonderfully. |

Which one is faster? iMac 27 with Quad Core i5 2.7GHz or a Macbook Pro 15 with Quad Core i7 2GHz? GeekBench has the MBP about 12% faster than the iMac. primatelabs.ca/geekbench/mac-benchmarks However, take that with a grain of salt since it's close enough for your workload and peripheral I/O to swing it the other way. |

Are there any physical differences between regional versions of the iPhone 4s? If you're in the London area, I'll be there from 17 Dec to 21 Dec (from San Francisco) and could courier one over if you find a happy answer to your question. |
