Has anyone actually gotten AT&T to unlock an iPhone? As an update, in case anyone is reading this in the far flung future of a year later, AT&T relented shortly after this answer was posted and now has an official policy of unlocking all phones (even Apple ones) for accounts that have spent a certain amount of time in good standing. |

Can I use the iPad mini (Wi-Fi+cellular) as a cellphone? Keep in mind: the iPad does not have a motor, so notifications (text messages, appointments, incoming calls) will not get your attention if you manage to pocket it, even after you figure out VoIP, etc. |

Can't sync iPod Touch 5G with iPhoto, Lightroom Correct. After I posted this, I connected the device to my only Windows laptop, and all the photos showed up and transferred fine. I'm still baffled what could have gone wrong, and what I could have done to fix it if I hadn't owned any Windows boxen.... |

Has anyone actually gotten AT&T to unlock an iPhone? I had a friend recommend this, but I have had trouble finding good information. We want to do as little "hacking" as possible, since this is for my wife, and she doesn't like to spend time/energy keeping up her gadgets -- she'd rather have something that "just works"... |
