Library management refers to the organization and maintenance of collections of various types of media managed by applications on the Mac or on iOS devices.

Common examples are photos in iPhoto or music and video in iTunes, but this tag is generic and could also refer to collections of eBooks or other files. Since the tag by itself is not specific, it should be combined with other tags that specify the application (, ) or type of media (, ) in question.

Popular topics in library management include moving application libraries away from their default location (to an external drive or server, for example), sharing media libraries with other users and devices, and backing up or otherwise protecting media libraries.
