I user a single external display at work with my MacBook Pro, running 10.8.2. I have the displays set up in extended desktop mode (as opposed to mirroring). I have the external monitor set as the main one. I have a folder set as the source for desktop background images (randomly picked every 30 mins.).
At the end of the day I disconnect the laptop and take it home. If I use the desktop at home at all, it seems that the background settings get changed. Upon reconnecting at work, the external display's background is set correctly, but the Mac's display is just using the default images folder and all the settings appear cleared out.
Is there anyway to prevent this from being reset?
I've tried this, with no luck.
