My Mac is stuck in bluescreen at boot time. Some times it gets to the wallpaper and other times it doesn't. I tried the various steps suggested in the other threads and elsewhere:
- Reset PRAM
- Run fsck (it says the volume is ok).
- Tried mount -uw / and chown root / to fix permission issues.
I don't have Leopard DVD and don't know if I can run a disk utility from a more recent OS.
I'm able to access all the directories in single-user mode, but not able to get the GUI to work.
I have most of the data backedup (last backup 3 weeks ago), but have a few files created in the last couple of weeks that I want to still restore.
Any pointers will be awesome.
