I currently have from SparkFun an RFID Reader (SEN-09963 + ID20 SEN-08628) that is connected to my Mac (10.8 if you are curious) What I have so far: the device is built, in a project box, connected via USB to the Mac. When I tap an RFID tag to the reader, it will beep. So, I know the tag is being read. My final goal is this: I would like the tag to be read and depending on the tag, for it to run an applescript or automator.
I have some web programming (not that this will help), I am very familar with the Mac and I am comfortable (although know very little) dealing with a CLI. What I am looking for is help getting started. Where do I go? What do I need to download? What language do I need to learn.
