My Macbook Pro Retina is not recognizing USB3 drives during boot when trying to access them with option or command+r held. Plugging the same drives into a USB2 hub or cable allows them to be visible during boot. Why is this? I know some people have been successful booting USB3 as it should be able. My drive enclosures are from Macsales.com(Other World Computing) and support boot.
