Recently I got an iPod dock that also charges your iPod while playing. At first it was like my iPod didn't recognize it was hooked up & it wouldn't charge nor play. Then, I was finally able to get it to do both, but I had to stick my iPod touch on there multiple times to get it to 'work.' Now, I hook it up with ease and only have to do it once.

The problem is, though, when I try to charge it via wall plug or even hook it up to my computer to sync it doesn't work. I want to get pictures on my computer and sync iTunes but even after plugging in, taking out, rinse repeat, MULTIPLE times, STILL nothing happens to my iPod. Anybody else have this problem? What did you do?

Which iPod model, which dock? Did you try rebooting both the iPod and the computer? Can you use a different cable between computer/wall plug and iPod? – patrix Jan 4 at 8:08
