I put a Mountain Lion DMG via recovery onto my external USB HD. After that I tried to install OS X onto my new SSD, connected via USB too. Everything looks quite well, but the install screen (title "Install" on top and loading bar below) stops/doesn't finish. I waited for about one hour and nothing happens.

What do you think? Is it possible to install from external HD to external HD both connected via USB? My internal HD is still in the MacBook – I want to change it after OS X is successfully installed on the SSD.
