I have a 2012 Macbook Air 11. I connected it to an external LCD projector, using a mini-DisplayPort-to-VGA adaptor, to project my slides, and it worked well. But when connecting it to another projector, it didn't work. People say only a new projector can recognize a Mac, while older projectors can't detect it. Is it correct? So there's no way i can connect my Mac Air to the other projector?
Also, i use the same mini-DisplayPort-to-VGA adaptor to connect to my Dell E2311H monitor. At first i was able to do that, but i don't know why now it can't detect the external display anymore. In the "Display" window, the "Arrangement" Tab disappear, so i can't tick on "Mirrors display".
All this is very frustrating. Please help!!!
