When I connect to a wireless network that requires authentication via a web page (i.e., to a "portal"), Apple kindly pops up a small window running Safari to show the authentication prompt and give me a chance to enter in my password to the wireless network. This is a great feature -- it means all my other windows don't get clogged up with the password prompt from the wireless network. I love the feature.
However, for some reason Safari never remembers the password I entered. I would have expected Safari's password manager to offer to remember the password; and if I've previously entered my password on this same site and told Safari to remember it, to autofill the password. Unfortunately, neither of these seems to happen in the small window that pops up when I connect to a wireless network.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to make this work?
