The situation is as follows.
My dad's iMac has a (slightly) broken optical drive. He hardly uses it, so it's not really worth the money to replace.
My Macbook does have a functional DVD drive, so I was wondering if I could share it with him via the network when he wants to burn a DVD. This explicitly concerns burning DVD's, not reading data.
I've toggled the 'Enable DVD- and CD-sharing' in the Sharing pannel in Preferences on my Macbook, but I'm unsure what to do on the iMac. On newer iMacs without optical drives, I find that there's an icon in the navigation bar of the finder for this sort of thing, but as this one does have an (albeit broken) optical drive, there's no such icon here.
The Macbook is running on OSX Lion, the iMac is on Snow Leopard.
Does anyone know how I can burn a DVD from the iMac using the Macbook's optical drive?
