Ask Different is a question and answer site for power users of Apple hardware and software. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I've just upgraded iTunes to iTunes 11.0. All went ok (no error message). In the podcast section, I see a podcast "validation.html" which obviously is not a podcast but an HTML file (maybe used by iTunes to validate the podcast?).

The problem is that I can't get rid of this file.

Worse, if I select it and then simply click on the gear-icon (which usually shows Settings for the selected podcast), iTunes displays an error and the application quits.

Any suggestion to remove, safely, this file from the interface?
