When I clean installed ML I set up the mail app to connect with my web based IMAP/SMTP email accounts. I was surprised and pleased that it seemed to download all my email as I had been forced to use the MyPOP server app previously (Yahoo).
My question is: Right now all my preferences are checked as "messages remain on server". Does that mean I could go online and delete ALL my old email and a copy would still reside on my Mac locally?
I'm not sure how to check. I have tried sending myself an email, then downloading via Mail.app, then opening and deleting online and that works but I don't know if ALL my old email is already onboard.
