I am trying to set up a new Mountain Lion install on a mac mini to connect using Mail version 6.2 with IMAP to my custom Dovecot mail server which is on an old G5 on my network.
My Macbook Air running Lion Mail version 5.3 connects just fine with IMAP. Thunderbird 17.0 on the new Mountain Lion mac mini connects just fine with IMAP and I can screen share with the G5, so I know it is connected. I was hoping to use Mail instead of Thunderbird.
Any ideas why Mountain Lion Mail.app would not work using the exact same (checked by two people) set up of mail as the working Lion computer?
