Sometimes when I open my mbp I find a socks proxy has been set automatically.

In System Preferences -> Network -> Advanced -> Proxies I find socks proxy checked and the Server is 127.0.0.1:1080.

I have no idea why it is checked and it does not happen every time.

What can be the reason and how to avoid this?

I don't think that the OS sets it on its own (of course I can be wrong). But I would guess that this is done by an application instead. Have you installed any applications short before the problem occurred? Or maybe it only occurres if you use a certain application. I would investigate in this. – cyphorious Nov 12 '12 at 10:49
