Is there a way I can open Safari in a new window directly from dock ? For example, CMD + Safari on dock reveals the application in Finder. Is there another key combination that can open a new window ?

You could create an AppleScript application that always opens a new window, but I don't see how it's more convenient than just pressing ⌘N. –  ؘؘؘ Nov 4 '12 at 17:22

I want to do so without Safari being the currently active window @LauriRanta –  Render Nov 4 '12 at 18:08

Right click on the icon and select “New Window”.

PS: I know what you need it for :)

Is there a faster way than right clicking ?? Holding a button and left clicking on the icon for example ? –  Render Nov 4 '12 at 15:54

No, unfortunately there isn’t. –  duci9y Nov 4 '12 at 16:04
