I don't have enough money to go and buy a new Mac Pro, so I'm aiming to buy a used one; namely a 15.4" MacBook Pro Intel c2d 2.4GHz with 4 GB of RAM. It has the latest Lion on it and I'm wondering how Xcode 4.5.1 would perform on this system?

It runs and probably faster than Xcode v1 did on machines that it could run on - what exact information do you want? – Mark Oct 22 '12 at 13:39

The system specifications you listed should have no problem running Xcode without any hiccups.

That being said, the more complex a project, the more time it's going to take... on any system.

I started programming with xcode on a virtual machine with 1 GIG ram and it was working fine with xcode 3. since xcode 4, It was taking at least 7 to 10 minutes to load on a simulator for a simple program. So I decided to buy a real mac not spending much money on the new mac. The only concern is that if c2d 2.4 will be fine with running projects on xcode 4.5.1? – Ehsan Rohani Oct 22 '12 at 14:11
