How do you block websites on Safari?

Why was the question downvoted - I could see a user wanting to use this to deal with popups/popunders - which without some of the neat add ons to other browsers is a problem in safari. – Danny Staple Oct 15 '12 at 10:21

You can add an entry to your /etc/hosts file. For each site you want to block, add a line at the bottom, in the form:

127.0.0.1 site-to-block.com

I would like to highly recommend aobo filter for you, coz it is great when blocks. http://www.internet-filter-mac.com/ It has the feature of filtering websites by URL/keywords as you need, I think it will be a wise choice when referred to many websites. Also, firstly when I check aobo filter, I just take a free trial, after that I can know more about it and get more information about its features. That's why I suggest you pay attention to the filter.
