I have a external hard drive that is partitioned using Disk utility into: 1) one partition per machine for Time Machine backup 2) for work disk 3) for file archive 4) for OS back ups

While the partitions I made for 1-3 are all resizable in Disk Utility (downward and not upward in size), the partition with the SL disk image and the one with the fully installed SL OS cannot be resized with the handle! What I ended up doing was to keep dividing the partition into halves (eg 250 into 125/125 and then into 62.5/62.5/125) so as to free up storage space (The OS only takes up a few GB). That works for now. But I wish there was a better way. Anyone has experience with this can give a helping hand? Thanks.
