I backed up my iPhone 3GS using iTunes. I'm trying to restore the data into my new iPhone 4S. However, my new iPhone 4S does not appear in iTunes. How do I restore the data?

Are you sure you have the cable seated properly in the 4S? Consider restarting computer, restarting iTunes to get it to show up. – Richard Sep 14 '12 at 12:59
