I have shared a folder (the user's directory) from my Vista PC so that I can access it from my Mac. The PC only has one user account, which doesn't have a password.
When I try to access the folder from my Mac it opens and lists all the subfolders, however they all have little red no entry signs, and attempting to open one results in "you don't have permission to open this folder"
I have tried connecting to the Windows "server" as the username, but as it doesn't have a password I have to leave the password blank and that is not allowed, so I have to connect as guest. On the windows machine you can give permissions to specific accounts but obviously the Mac's user doesn't show in the list.
How do I access the folder from my Mac without giving access to Everyone?
