I am running Mountain Lion on my MacBook and set up Time Machine to backup to a network share on my Linux machine - which runs smoothly.

However, when I am not at home, an annoying message pops up once in an hour that the share is not accessible. This seems to be Time Machine trying to make its hourly backup.

I would like Time Machine to simply delay backing up, without any further message. How can I get rid of this message?
