I want to buy a 2012 Macbook Air (first timer!) but unfortunately it looks like almost all Apple Shops (resellers) around where I live only have old versions. One of these places even has the balls to sell the OTA MBA for more than the retail price of the 2012 MBA. Where/how can I get my hands on it?

Also: A 13' 2012 MBA should be good enough for web design and development, right? I'm switching from an Ideapad running Ubuntu.

Have you tried Apple's (India) resellers Finder? – Thecafremo Jun 29 '12 at 8:28
@Thecafremo Yep. No luck. – aviraldg Jun 29 '12 at 8:35
Won't eBay or something similar do the trick? – Thecafremo Jun 29 '12 at 8:59
@Thecafremo Won't be "new" then. – aviraldg Jun 29 '12 at 9:00
India is a big country, I'm not sure your question is well suited here. Also, if the resellers don't have the new models in stock, can they not order one for you on your request? – Gerry Jun 29 '12 at 9:37
