I'm trying to create my own sparse bundle image on Time Capsule and set it up for Time Machine. My main requirement is to limit the disk space allowed for backups but I would also like to encrypt those backups. I followed this article.

My new sparse bundle is correctly created on Time Capsule's disk but every time I start an initial backup the Time Machine will create its own sparse bundle instead of using the one already created. I also noticed that Time Machine doesn't use MAC address in bundle's file name so I tried it without the address as well but it still doesn't work.

What is the correct approach to create my own sparse bundle image for Time Machine?
