I have been using Mac OSX 10.6.8 Build 10K549 for over a year now. I have a 3.06 GHz Intel Core i3 with 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM. I also have 2 cores.

I usually use Microsoft Entourage 2008 Version 12.3.1 (110725) as my preferred email client since I have to connect to an Exchange server.

Nearly every day, when I fire up my computer, sending mail, sometimes checking it also, causes so much instability that all of my internet applications stop responding. For instance, a webpage I'm loading suddenly freezes and the page quits loading permanently. My mail client also stops and freezes with no further action (all processes stop executing and seem to loose connectivity). I try right clicking on the app to stop it but menu cannot load. Instead, mousing over the dock shows a spinner that spins eternally. Trying multiple times causes the dock to quit responding as well. I cannot open any new apps. All menus become disabled and I have to forcefully restart my computer...

I decided that to use Mail Version 4.5 (1084) yesterday. Today when I fired up my computer, I experienced the exact same problem when sending a message in response to an email I received for Gmail. Yes, I have two email connections: One to Gmail and one to the Exchange server. I have had this setup this way for over a year.

I have been experiencing this problem for several months. I don't have time to sit here and debug this thing all day as this is my primary workstation and I am a web developer tasked with a LOT of work.

Do you have any ideas for me?

Thank you
