I have a strange issue with Google Chrome and after searching far and wide have not found any info about it.

After using Chrome for a while, ~30min+, the icons on my Mac are "glued" in place. I cannot move icons from the desktop to a folder, move them from one one folder to another folder or change their positioning on the desktop. Logging out of my Mac and logging back in returns things to their normal state but it is annoying to have to do this every time I use Chrome. I am using an iMac 8,1 and running 10.5.8

Any and all tips and suggestions welcome. Thanks!

Is your finder functional? As in, can you browse through your files normally. – autumyst Jun 19 '12 at 14:49
Thanks for your reply..sorry for not checking back sooner. Navigating through files and folders with Finder functions as it should.Everything works except dragging icons. Cutting and pasting, deleting icons etc. all work okay. The problem seemed to have solved itself with Chrome update -1 from current version. Issue has returned with latest release of Chrome. – Paul Jones Jul 17 '12 at 1:28
Have you tried disabling all extensions and see if this affects it? – autumyst Jul 17 '12 at 14:27
