Is there any way to make iPhone's loading songs off iTunes-the-cloud faster? It usually takes anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds to start playing a song after I tap it!

In comparison, Grooveshark on iPhone starts playing about instantly.

FYI, all the music in question is using iTunes Match; I have not tried purchasing a song from iTMS, in case that makes a difference.

Also, loading these songs from the cloud in iTunes takes about 2-5 seconds.

Well the big difference is that services like Spotify and Grooveshark "stream" your music which gets delivered differently than iTunes Match - when you choose a song from that service it downloads it straight away which takes a little more processing power.

That would account for the extra seconds, then you also have the issue if you are playing a song that you have uploaded or if it is on the iTunes Servers - the songs that you can buy in the iTunes store will be located on more if not better servers that can deliver music faster and more stable.

Just a few factors that I see being the issue.

I get slow loading on songs that are from the iTunes Store, not just the ones that have been uploaded. – themirror Jun 21 '12 at 17:39
